As part of my study abroad experience in Athens, Aegina, and Northern Greece in early 2020, I completed a theoretical design project for an apartment building in central Athens. The site was a dilapidated structure we were to assume would be demolished, and the neighborhood was largely residential and mixed-use buildings. The site was located less than 200 yards south of the Acropolis rock with little obstruction to views.

The project was to be a mixed use building with multi-family housing accommodated. My design focused on my perception of Greek culture and the meaning of the home. Accordingly, I prioritized comfortable outdoor living space, interior leisure space, and efficient space use.
